About Me

Hey there, I’m Ignacio!

I currently work as a Staff Software Engineer at Shopify, where I use my problem-solving skills and knowledge of design patterns to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges.

I graduated from the Universidad de la Republica del Uruguay as Ingeniero en Sistemas, equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering with the Thesis “Data Collection and Predictive Analysis of Natural Disasters in Uruguay.”

As a developer, I’m passionate about creating efficient and elegant code that makes a real impact. I love exploring new technologies and keeping up with the latest trends in the industry to stay on top of my game. I write some of these challenges in my personal blog and published some of them on my Github account.

I maintain a few libraries, such as Whatsapp-SDK and ARKit and love working on open-source projects.

Apart from my work, I also have a keen interest in math and enjoy spending time with my family. I have participated in multiple international competitions in maths, such as the International Mathematical Olympiad, and I have received some awards, including Honorable Mentions in the Asian Pacific Mathematical olympiad and the Iberoamerican Mathematical Olympiad.
