Principles and Values

Values and principles that guide my work as a software engineer:

  • Feedback is a Gift: Preferably early and directly.
  • Meetings Prefer: Short, with an agenda and goals, ad-hoc over scheduled.
  • Move fast and make decisions quickly
  • Deliverables > Ideas: Deliverables mainly influence my trust battery. Talking, just a little.
  • Simplicity: The best solutions are often the simplest ones.
  • Efficiency: A small but efficient team is 10x better than a large inefficient.
  • Growth: Always be learning.
  • Passion: for solving complex problems.
  • Fun: Enjoy the process.
  • Collaboration: Work as a team.

You’ll see my best version when working on a complex, fun, impactful problem with intelligent and great people.

The book Leading in Through Times taught me to write my values and, each week, look at the decisions I made and compare them against my values. I 100% recommend it.
